Barrick Goldstrike Mines - 16 years of Air Quality
Since
1988, Air Sciences and Barrick Goldstrike Mines have worked
together on air quality issues including permitting, ambient
monitoring, compliance for hundreds of sources, and several
modifications and expansions. Sources range from ore mining
to ore refining and include drilling, basting, hauling, crushing,
grinding, autoclaving, roasting, cyanide leaching, carbon
stripping and regenerating, electrowinning, retorting, and
furnace refining.
In addition, Air Sciences and Barrick Goldstrike Mines have
worked with the Nevada Mining Association to affect rule changes
specific to the mining industry. These changes have clarified
many regulations and simplified mine-related monitoring, reporting,
and compliance requirements.
